A little about myself...

I grew up in Stephenville, Texas where I attended Tarleton State University. While there I participated in the Band along with numerous other activities such as the Society of Physics Students and the Society for Creative Anachronism. I went to graduate school at Rice University in Houston, Texas. I was in the Department of Physics and Astronomy, although I spent most of my time in San Antonio at Southwest Research Institute. I taught Astronomy part time from 2001 to 2003 at The University of Texas at San Antonio. From 2003 to 2005 I worked at the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland. My first full-time teaching job was a one year visiting position at Angelo State University before coming to McMurry in the fall of 2006. I have also been involved for many years with the Boy Scouts of America. I like to listen to Contemporary Christian Music and work on my classic cars.
