The Society For Creative Anachronism
is a non-profit educational organization dedicated to historical research and
reenactment of pre-16th century western culture. I have been a member of this
international organization for about 6 years now, and it is a lot of fun.
It is a way to learn about the past not only by reading it in books, but by reliving it.
Just as other groups act out famous battles of the civil war, we try to recapture
the chivalry and honor that were the best part of the middle ages. Living
in these Current Middle Ages, we are able to experience all the positive
aspects of that society without all the plagues and peasants, and with all the
advantages of modern life. I have included some of the more interesting
pictures that I have of my activities in the SCA here.
